Democrats Continue To Make Insane Choices

Today lead impeachment manager Jamie Raskin made public a letter he had written to former President Donald J. Trump, in which he "requested" that Trump come testify in person under oath to the Senate during the upcoming impeachment trial.

Raskin wants to ask Trump under oath about the "numerous lies" he told during his Jan. 6 speech at the Ellipse, where Trump spoke at length and in great detail about the federal election fraud that stole the election from him and handed it to Joe Biden.

This was the dumbest thing Democrats could have done. Everybody already knew this 2nd impeachment trial was a farce, and most people weren't going to be paying much, if any, attention to it, beyond people like me, who make their living following the political scene.

The **Democrats** opened to door to making next week's Senate trial riveting TV at the mere **hint** Trump might show up to testify.

The Senate trial goes from a boring sham event to something that will likely set ratings records at the prospect of watching Donald Trump ask questions about the supposed 'insurrection' he instigated by making federal election fraud claims in his speech.

Trump has virtually disappeared since January 20, and a national news media suddenly suffering from Trump-withdrawal while being forced to cover the incompetent flailings of the already-failing Biden White House would simply not be able to help itself.

The mere chance of compelling TV as Trump presents his defense to impeachment managers like Raskin and Eric Swalwell would send corporate newsrooms into nirvana.

Now, Trump has not made any response yet to Raskin's letter. It's already widely assumed by many that there is simply no way Trump's lawyers would let him testify at this trial. It confidently asserted that the Trump legal team would not permit him to testify.

BUT IT'S DONALD TRUMP.

We'll see what happens.

  1. Jamie Raskin is, of course, an absolute fool, as most Democrats are. And I have no intention at all of following their sham 2nd impeachment. For any news about that I'll rely on reportage from you and the few other sources I trust.

  2. From House ImPeach II - "In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials."

So when DJT PROVES widespread fraud, is it the House members who have "repeatedly issued false statements".

"He also willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged—and foreseeably resulted in—lawless action at the Capitol, such as: “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore”. Thus incited by President Trump, members of the crowd he had addressed, in an attempt to, among other objectives,"

Check the timeline. If the assault began before the words were spoken or the assailants could not hear them, there seems to be a Cause and Effect problem.

"injured and killed law enforcement personnel". Killed and Died, have very different Legal standing. Dying from a Stroke is not being Killed.

But holding an anti-constitutional, monkey trial, Not an Impeachment, it is clear that -
"by such conduct, has demonstrated that HOUSE DEMOCRATS will remain a threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office,"

I am somewhat disappointed due to some of the things I have heard. The 1-6-21 capitol mess happened wile you were there. I heard this eve that you may have been warned to not attend because of certain characters attending. I am so sorry that you were mislead. I am sorry you also came home sick for many weeks. I hope that you are feeling much better. Please take care of you and your family. I trust all will be well. Sincerely yours.
